Romanian Farmers present at the Angus cattle Auction in Germany
Lately more and more Romanian farmers have shown interest in cattle breeding, especially the Angus breed with high genetic value. At the invitation of Aberdeen Angus Society Romania, Romanian farmers have participated in the cattle auction from Wertingen Germany. Over 20 Romanian farmers have come on the one hand to experience the pulse of a cattle auction and on the other hand to purchase one or more quality cattle for their stock. Cattle bids came from 12 different farms in the UK. For the auction 64 heifers and 10 bulls were selected by the organizers, all cattle descending from valued Aberdeen Angus bloodlines parents. Cattle with good genetics and with high breeding values become also a priority for our country thus creating valuable cattle sites in Romania. This brings us closer to our goal to become in the future a competitive country in this domain.
