A new edition of the most important agricultural event in Transylvania took place last weekend at Jucu, Cluj Napoca – Agraria 2019.

The main moment for the Aberdeen Angus breed was the Zootehnica Show, in which those interested were able to participate in the presentation of the genetic features and performance of each present specimen. The aim of the presentation of cattle in the ring was that the participants could appreciate correctly the cattle seen at the fair but also that those with minimal experience in the field could estimate their value.

Within the event there was a conference of Aberdeen Angus cattle breeders in Romania as well, attended by representatives of the association, as well as by Samuel Widmer, the founder of Karpaten Meat Group – the first Angus cattle business in the country, a national development structure for this sector. It briefly outlined the importance of a strategy of closing the production chain in our country, a vision shared by the entire discussion panel.

On the occasion of the 25th edition of the fair, the organizers also prepared a documentary film about the history of Aberdeen Angus in Romania, presenting step by step the first cattle in Romania, the gradual development, the transformation into a successful business and the creation of an increasingly attractive field for Romanian farmers.

At the Agraria2019 fair, the Karpaten Meat Group exhibitional stand had a large number of visitors who wanted to find out details about the Angus cattle business, genetics and breed, beef production, the online store Premium Angus and how Angus beef can be purchased.

Like every edition, the event can be proud of people who are directly interested in developing a business in the field.
